Advanced RiderCourse

The Advanced RiderCourse (ARC) is designed for experienced riders of all types of bikes. It is a one-day course that builds on your basic skills as well as helps with personal risk assessment — to help you improve your overall riding.

Pre-Requisites:

This one-day course consists of approximately two hours of informal classroom activities and five hours of riding activities. The classroom activities include fun interactive activities to improve perception and hazard awareness. Detailed group discussions on selecting better lines through turns, better braking techniques, and better body positioning on the motorcycle. Additional emphasis is also given in the areas of self-assessment, decision-making, risk management, and rider behavior.

Range activities are used to reinforce these techniques and demonstrate that they can truly be utilized on any type of motorcycle. The activities are structured to simulate real road experiences, where the techniques discussed in the classroom can be applied and practiced in a repeatable fashion. Range exercises enhance both basic operating skills and crash-avoidance skills through high-speed maneuvering, quick swerving, traction control, and emergency braking for curves and slippery surfaces. New techniques such as trail braking and experimentation with a "forward and in" body position are introduced.

Participants use their own street-legal motorcycle and must be able to show current registration and proof of insurance. Motorcycles must be in good working order and must pass a visual safety inspection.

Required Riding Gear:

If you must reschedule and fail to contact us at least 72 hours before the start of your class, a $75 rescheduling fee will be applied. Cancellations and/or "No Shows" under that same 72 hour period will lose their full registration fee.
